Being a Midwest Nebraska girl at heart, my husband and I planted our roots in Flagstaff in August of 2016. Life has not stopped since our move to Arizona with welcoming two kids within a year! When I’m not directing chaos and watching endless amounts of Paw Patrol I put on my “owner hat” running a Marketing and Graphic design company Flip Marketing. Balancing the work and mom life has been a struggle but I thrive on chaos!

I work with Flagstaff Doulas as a birth doula and I occasionally photograph births as well. I dance and perform with Canyon Movement Company, a modern dance company, several times a year. I enjoy listening to podcasts while I learn to crochet and sip my locally brewed coffee with a hefty helping of cream.

Helena stumbled across Flagstaff Moms Blog a year after relocating her family to Flagstaff (a place they had dreamed of living) from the valley of the sun for a job opportunity. Not only did she find an amazing site to connect more to the community and other moms, but became part of the Executive Team as the Sales Coordinator.
Helena is a mom of 5 in a blended family, meeting her husband at a BBQ and becoming fast friends hanging out with their kiddos (each having a boy & girl) that were the same age. 18 ½ years later, they can say they have survived the teen years four times and one day before their 10th anniversary found out they were expecting the little guy they never thought they would have, as Helena had been diagnosed with PCOS years earlier. The once Brady Bunch became His, Mine & Ours, sending out 2 high school graduation announcements and birth announcement months apart. Helena can fully say, “Cherish every moment” as it seems the older kids grew up in a blink of an eye. She loves the moments when the family can all be together and especially watching Aiden (youngest) with his older siblings; brothers 26 & 25 and sisters 21 who have fully embraced having a little brother & completely spoil him.
Helena juggles being a mom & wife with her career in higher education, finishing her degree at NAU and being a member of the FMB Exec team. When she finds the time she enjoys reading, writing and LOVES baking and gift-giving.
