Local Non-Profit Holiday Wish List!

We all know there is a lot of needs in our community, especially during the holidays and the cold weather. But sometimes we don’t know how or who to help! I am part of a group here in Flagstaff called Women Empowering Northern Arizona (WENA). WENA is a local Flagstaff giving circle. You can learn more by clicking here. Through WENA I have met and learned about a lot of local Flagstaff non-profits.
There are so many that can use our help this time of year. WENA reached out to a few non-profits that serve Flagstaff specifically and asked them for their current wish lists. If you know of other needs in our community this time of year, please share in the comments below.

Also please keep in mind the Flagstaff Tax Credit. Donors can go to www.flagstafftaxcredit.org to get to the Flagstaff Tax Credit Coalition website. From there you can make one online, secure donation and split their donation among qualified local charities. One donation and you can share the love! The online donation portal is run by the Arizona Community Foundation, so donors can know it’s secure.

I know there is a lot more need in our community so please share in the comments below. Let’s take care of Flagstaff!

Katie has lived in Flagstaff for 22 years and grew up in North Carolina. She has 10 and 12 year old boys who are certainly an adventure! Her family is by far the most rewarding part of her life. Katie loves hiking and running in our beautiful hills, skiing, river rafting, traveling, health and clean eating (thanks to a whacky thyroid). She is also always taking small steps to clean up our environment, and she is currently learning meditation and just loves learning in general! Katie and her college roommate drove to AZ from VA after college and Katie has only left briefly but Flagstaff is her home for sure! She met her wonderful husband while river guiding in the Grand Canyon. Katie is a family photographer at www.katiewoodardphotography.com, here in Flagstaff and loves capturing the natural love and beauty in families. Her newest fun adventure is co-founding Women Empowering Northern Arizona.
