Summer in downtown Flagstaff starts and ends with Movies on the Square!
Every Saturday night from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend, head down to Heritage Square for a showing of a family friendly movie. The fun starts at 4:00 pm with activities and events that are free for all Flagstaff families. In the past, we have played a giant game of checkers, made crafts, and even attended a scavenger hunt – that is all before the movie starts at dusk.
Tips to Attend Movies on the Square:
- Parking – Spaces downtown are PAID parking – use the kiosk or the app. For a free spot, find a side street a few blocks away from Heritage Square
- Chairs, a Blanket, and Snacks – Trust me on the chairs, you don’t want to be sitting on concrete all night. Plus this will save your spot while you enjoy the activities. It can get a little chilly at night, especially when it is windy. Cold kids will be whiny.
- Food, Popcorn, and other snacks available to purchase. Save money by bringing your own snacks and water.
