Montessori Forest Adventurers
Adventurers between the ages of 5 and 12 will be playing, learning, exploring, and trying new things from 9 AM – 5 PM Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between June 1st and August 26th in the forest outside of Mountainaire.
Special projects will include sewing, weaving, basketry, photography, gardening, working with natural dyes, painting, astronomy, and the publication of a camp book authored and illustrated by the students.
Send your adventurer for the whole summer or for any of our three-week sessions, all of which are organized around themes incorporating vocabulary in Navajo, Spanish, and English.
No matter which session(s) you choose, we will be outside all day, hiking into the woods at 9:30 every morning and returning to homebase at about 3 PM for more outdoor fun in the garden and yard.
For more information and to register, please go to forestmagic.org. Scholarships are available.
The Arboretum at Flagstaff Eco-Explorers Camps
Send your kindergarten – 5th grade explorers to us for Creature Camp, Wilderness Survival Camp, Water Wonders Camp, or Creative Camp!
The eco-explorers spend their days on our 200 acre campus, using the gardens, meadow and forest as classroom, playground, and inspiration.
Creature Campers identify animal tracks, navigate field guides and discover the animals that live around us, while Creative Campers let their inner artist bloom, Wilderness Survivors learn skills that can last a lifetime, and Water Wonders Campers dive into all things water as they conduct an in-depth investigation of the willow pond!
