An Effortless Thanksgiving Thanks to Wildflower Bread Co.

Effortless. The word’s meaning is “requiring no exertion; achieved with ease,” yet I’ve never tried so hard to achieve something in my life.

I am not effortless. And neither are my holidays.

Every year, I start out with amazing intention. I pin cute little front porch decorations, centerpieces and search the web for “best pumpkin pie ever” recipes.

I’ve even gone so far as to purchase those cute little pie pumpkins at the grocery store…and proceeded to run out of time/energy and repurpose them as table decor (because I never made the centerpiece), while I get out a can opener or worse – stop at the grocery store – for the gelatinous pumpkin pie my family has come to accept.

Not. This. Year.

And it’s not because I finally have my act together. It’s because I discovered Wildflower Bread Company’s pre-order Thanksgiving specials. And OMGoodness these people know what they’re doing.

Flagstaff Moms Blog received an invitation to try their Thanksgiving items, and being somewhat of a pumpkin spice connoisseur, I jumped at the chance. Here’s what I sampled and my review of each:

Pumpkin Pie.

The difference between Wildflower’s pumpkin pie and others is almost impossible to describe…but once you taste it, you know…you’ve been eating subpar pumpkin pie your whole life. Smooth and delicate, this pumpkin pie (along with all their pies) are handmade to order!

Needless to say, I pre-ordered and will bring a Wildflower pumpkin pie to my family’s Thanksgiving feast next week!

Pumpkin Cheesecake.

Made with pure pumpkin, this cheesecake, beautifully decorated with chocolate swirls, is perhaps the most amazing, melt-in-your-mouth cheesecake ever. And it’s PUMPKIN! It’s absolutely divine paired with a cup of strong coffee to offset its richness.

It’s maybe dangerously good, as I could see me hoarding it all for myself, devouring one slice at a time during my mommy timeouts. Case in point…I didn’t even save a bite for my husband to try.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Bread.

This, blissfully, was nothing like what I expected. It has a genuine bread texture (this is not cake loaf), and features the perfect amount of festive spices without being overly sweet.

It’s perfect as a light breakfast or addition to Thanksgiving appetizers, served toasted with cream cheese. It’s also savory enough to be a table loaf!

Much to my amazement, I found myself adding the Pumpkin Cinnamon Bread to my tab as a replacement for my family’s beloved crescent rolls. GASP! But seriously…fridge space is at a premium on Thanksgiving, and Wildflower’s made-from-scratch bread is way more delicious and festive than something from a can.

I walked in there to “try” some holiday samples and walked out with a respectable Thanksgiving Pre-Order: One handmade-to-order Pumpkin Pie, one freshly-baked Pumpkin Cinnamon Bread and two orders of Sourdough Pull Apart Rolls.

I’ll be picking up my pre-order at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 22, freshly baked and ready for our family’s Thanksgiving table.

It’ll be the first time in…well…ever…that my portion of Thanksgiving will be truly effortless.

You can make your Thanksgiving effortless too with the help of Wildflower Bread Co. Thanksgiving pre-order items offered include their famous Crumb Apple Pie, Roasted Nut Pie (like pecan, but way, way better), Cranberry Walnut Bread, Stuffing Sandwich Loaf, and more!

Pre-orders are accepted in-store and online at WildflowerBread.com now through this Sunday, Nov. 19, with your choice of pick-up next Monday – Wednesday. They are closed on Thanksgiving, so do it…order now…show up looking effortless…and have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Much Love – H
